My youngest son loved that series. I still have all the toys stored at the house.

Yep. Have the original series on DVD. Used to have all the toys to but they're gone long ago.

I used to watch that as a lil' kid. Downloaded some recently for "nostalgia" reasons, but it certainly didn't hold up the way I remembered it

Neither does GI Joe, but I preferred He-Man to GI Joe and Transformers.

I recommend The Mike Young Production Series Of He-Man & MOTU, it's has better animation and a great story line that flows well in the series. Trust Me, The MYP series is great.

Haven't there already been plans to make a new He Man movie (not sure if live or animated) that was nothing like that Dolph Lundgren one from the 80s?

At one point I think John Woo was supposed to direct it at Warner Brothers with Joel Silver producing.

I think this guy Justin Marks got hired to write a new draft, he's like the new go to geek for the studios. He wrote the Green Lantern Supermax script (actually pretty good), the Voltron script (well written, but overall wasn't into the way he took it, also would cost like 900 million, so I think it will never get made) oh and he wrote that piece of shit Street Fighter 2 Chun Li movie, which actually was probably his worst script but it got made.

I was predicting with some people the other day that if He Man happens soon it will wind up being that Kellan Luntz guy from Twilight. He kind of has the right look.

They could DEFINITELY make a gritty, gloomy war movie with some dark characters.

PG-13 a minimum. Rated R, would be best. Get the real blood and guts into it.

I remember getting the Slime Pit as a present. I think it was around the same time that I got Ghostbusters stuff that had purple slime. Both slimes had that odd smell and what the commercials didn't mantion was how dry and crusty the shit would get if you didn't clean it up in time.
